Nairobi native Margaret Wamaitha, has tearfully shared the heartbreaking and agonizing hardships she went through while losing her six babies.
She described the anguish and the harsh criticism she encountered while going through these difficult times.
Wamaitha claimed that she was the target of nasty slurs and charges, with some individuals asserting that she was cursed and was the one killing her children.
The distraught mother further revealed that she had been advised to seek the help of a witch doctor in order to resolve her problem.
Such advice did nothing but increase her sense of helplessness and despair.
Sadly, Wamaitha had to deal with hostility from all sectors of society.
Even in her own church, she ran with hostility and blame.
Crying profusely, she said :
“People said I was cursed. Others told me to gather elderly individuals and a goat for a cleansing ritual.
“Pastors would use my story against me, labeling me as stubborn and suggesting that God was punishing me by taking away my children. Some even had the audacity to imply that I was sacrificing my kids”.
Wamaitha finally found comfort in Precious, her survivor kid, a strong and bright girl who became her strength, despite the enormous hardships she had to face.
Wamaitha revealed that her perspective changed after the death of her seventh-born child.
Recognizing that her condition was beyond her control, she made the decision to put an end to any further attempts to become pregnant.
