  • In a stunning and tragic incident, a mother who appeared to be grappling with life’s challenges made a horrifying choice to cast her newborn baby into the river.
  • Fortunately for the child, compassionate onlookers and pedestrians sprang into action to rescue the baby, and they confronted the mother, seeking an explanation for her shocking decision.

In the Badagry area of Lagos state, a potential tragedy turned into a heroic rescue when a kind-hearted Samaritan swooped in to save a baby flung into a river by the child’s own mother.

A viral video making the rounds on social media captures the dramatic moment when this fearless individual plucks the helpless infant from the river’s depths, where the mother heartlessly abandoned the child, seemingly leaving her baby for dead.

With adrenaline pumping, the rescuer and a crowd of onlookers rallied to revive the struggling baby, expelling the water that had invaded the child’s system.

During a subsequent interrogation, the mother, clearly grappling with her own demons, confessed her weariness with life. She even callously mentioned that her baby had fulfilled its destiny, having undergone a naming ceremony, and now had permission to exit this world.
