A young Nigerian man named Ben Kingsley Nwashara has captured the hearts of many with his heartwarming update on the abandoned baby girl he found in a dustbin 3 years ago.
The young man discovered the helpless child in a dire state, discarded in a dustbin by an unknown person.
Since then, he has taken on the role of a guardian, nurturing the infant back to health and securing her a brighter future.
The heartwarming saga began when Ben Kingsley Nwashara stumbled upon the abandoned baby girl, who was in deplorable condition, left to fend for herself in the unforgiving streets.
Determined to provide the child with a chance at life, Nwashara immediately took her to the nearest police station to seek help and ensure her safety.
However, his initial efforts were met with disappointment, as he encountered a trio of female police officers who regrettably turned a blind eye to the dire situation.
Despite being in their 40s and mothers themselves, they informed Nwashara that they could not offer any assistance and urged him to take the baby away.
Fortunately, the intervention of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) proved to be a turning point in this heartening tale.
The DPO, a Yoruba man, displayed remarkable compassion and humanity.
Upon meeting Nwashara, he not only expressed empathy but also took immediate action to rectify the situation.
He ordered one of the female officers to accompany them to various hospitals, treating the case as an emergency and ensuring prompt medical attention.
Remarkably, the DPO went above and beyond by lending his personal car and driver for two days, facilitating the swift transfer of the infant to medical facilities and making sure she received the care she so desperately needed.
In his words;
“Sorry to post this. It was the 3 female police officers on shift that night at the station where I took this little angel to. They told me they couldn’t do anything for her and that I should take her away. They were all mothers in their 40s. Thank God for the DPO, a Yoruba man whom I met the next morning, and he ordered one of the female officers to escort us to the different hospitals we went to for the next 3 days so they would see it as an emergency and attend to us as quick as possible. He even gave us his personal car and his driver for 2 days.”
The latest photo of the girl shows that she has been successfully enrolled in school.
