A video showing a Nigerian boy with a rare condition known as cutis verticis gyrata, colloquially referred to as “scalp wrinkles,” has become a sensation on social media.
This condition has caused the skin on the boy’s head to develop a weird look.
The video captures the young boy displaying his unique scalp to a group of onlookers in a public setting.
The skin on his head is noticeably loose and soft to the touch, with multiple folds and wrinkles. When he gently touches the skin, it shifts easily, revealing the extent of the folds and wrinkles, which has left many social media users astonished.
The boy earns his livelihood as a street hawker, often carrying his merchandise on his head. In light of this, numerous netizens speculated that the unusual appearance of his scalp may be a result of the prolonged hours he spends engaging in this physically demanding occupation.
