The elder brother, his heart heavy with sorrow, opened up about his close bond with the departed young woman, how her passing brought a storm of grief to their home, and passionately appealed for justice.

The family of the University of Port Harcourt student, Justina Otuene, allegedly a victim of homicide at the hands of her boyfriend, has fervently called for justice.

On Thursday, the police publicly paraded the suspect, Damian Chinemere, a 400-level student majoring in Petrochemical Engineering at the same university, who was apprehended in connection with this dreadful incident.

Osas, who is also a 500-level undergraduate of Chemical Engineering at the institution said his late sister recently turned 21.

Her older brother highlighted her admirable qualities and expressed how her loss has taken a significant toll on the family.

He mentioned that Justina was the family’s only daughter and held the position of the fourth child before she tragically lost her life at the hands of her boyfriend.

Reporters also inquired whether their mother had been notified about her daughter’s passing and how she was handling the news. Justina’s elder brother confirmed that their mother was already aware, and so far, she’s holding up well.

“All we need is justice. Let the law take its course on the guy who did this to my sister and everyone else who is involved in this heinous crime because he was not working alone

“She was the only daughter of the family, my dad is late. My mum is alive but she is distraught right now. So it is a hard one on.us.”
