Leaked audio: Mohbad’s father accused of charging N10-15K for interviews, signing contract over son’s death

In the face of his sorrow, Mohbad's father, a grieving parent, staunchly rejects silence as he tirelessly seeks justice for his son. However, he finds himself entangled in accusations, suggesting that he has transformed the singer's saga into a profitable enterprise

Mr. Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Mohbad, has come under scrutiny for allegedly requesting a fee before consenting to interviews regarding his son’s demise.

In light of leaked audio reports on the widely-followed Instagram blog, Gistlovers, it’s alleged that Mr. Aloba, who has previously discussed the deaths of his son, wife, and their son Liam in interviews, purportedly demanded fees ranging from N10,000 to N15,000 from interviewers before agreeing to sit with them.

Joseph Aloba, according to the leaked audio, reportedly signed a contract with African TV following the death of his son.

The report suggests that they conspired to establish a fake foundation under Mohbad’s name, aiming to gather funds from the public.

Meanwhile, in an interview with media personality Oriyomi Hamzat, Mohbad’s dad called on Nigerians to join him in fighting for his son.

The singer’s dad begged people not to get tired of making sure the person responsible for his son’s death gets what they deserve.

On the DNA issue he has been clamouring about for weeks, Joseph Aloba reiterated that it is a must and that he cannot accept his grandson, Liam, if he belongs to another man.

He called on Nigerians to help him with funds as he intends to conduct the test twice for authenticity.

Mohbad’s dad, while speaking on the proceedings at the coroner’s inquest in court, added that he used to settle fights for the late singer and his wife Wunmi, who would leave the house for days out of anger.
