Please consider me – Man cries out as he mistakenly sends 500k to Davido

A Nigerian man captured the internet's attention as he poured out his plea for assistance on social media. Expressing regret over a significant error, he revealed that he mistakenly transferred 500k into Davido's bank account. Tagging the singer, he shared transaction screenshots as evidence, earnestly requesting the funds to be returned.


In a widely circulated social media post by a Nigerian named Adeleke583, he asserted that he unintentionally transferred ₦500,000 to the renowned Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, better known as Davido.

The social media user claimed that he intended to send the money to a friend who coincidentally shares the same name as the music star.

He disclosed that the funds were mistakenly sent to a Wema Bank account with the same name as the artist, pleaded with the general public to lend a helping hand in recovering his funds.

Tagging the singer and sharing a screenshot of his Zenith Bank account transaction to Davido, he wrote;

“Good day, sir, Mr. David Adeleke @davido, I want to bring to your attention an issue. Please, I would like you to consider helping me.”

“I mistakenly sent #500,000 naira to your Wema Bank account with this account number: 0123044967. This was supposed to be sent to a friend of mine who also goes by the name David Adeleke.”
