“This is how I will go”: Pastor Adeboye speaks on when he wants to die (VIDEO)

Just as every story has its conclusion, so does life find its inevitable ending in the chapters of death, Pastor Adeboye, a well-respected man of God in his 80s, is acutely conscious of this reality. He candidly revealed the circumstances and timing he earnestly desires for his demise, should his time arrive.

The General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has disclosed that he would like to die without stress or sickness.

During the third day of the RCCG Holy Ghost Congress at the church auditorium in Ogun state, the esteemed clergyman expressed his desire to pass away in a manner reminiscent of his uncle’s departure.

Adeboye explained that on the day of his uncle’s passing, he returned from church, got a light lunch from his wife, and patiently awaited the pounded yam being prepared for him.

The cleric shared that his uncle opted to use the toilet while his wife was occupied in the kitchen, and it was in that moment that he peacefully passed away, free from sickness or pain.

The spiritual leader expressed his desire for a peaceful passing when his time arrives. He extended a prayer for everyone tuned in, wishing them a serene death without any sickness.

Pastor Adeboye narrated:

“I know somebody will say, well, if we are never sick, then how are we ever going to die and go to Heaven? You don’t need to be sick to go to Heaven.

“An uncle of mine woke up on a Thanksgiving Sunday, went to Church, danced like everybody else, came home, the wife gave him a light breakfast before preparing the original food – pounded yam. She was already pounding the yam when my uncle decided to go to the toilet.

“After she finished pounding, she knocked at the door of the toilet; when they opened the door, my uncle was gone. No sickness, no ache, no pain. If the Lord tarries His Coming, I will go on a Sunday after a good meal of pounded yam.”
