Bourdillon, located in Ikoyi, Lagos State, the residence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is currently a bustling hub for Nigerians celebrating Christmas.

A video shared by the Instagram blog BusinessDay depicts a scene where numerous individuals are seated and standing in front of Tinubu’s home.

They purportedly arrived with the expectation of receiving Christmas treats, seeking solace amid economic hardships and the exorbitant cost of food items during this festive season.

The video stirred reactions from netizens, asserting that the prevailing hunger and poverty in the country are the primary reasons behind their convergence to visit the president at his Lagos residence.

President Bola Tinubu, on Thursday evening, arrived in Lagos from Abuja ahead of the Christmas celebrations.

The Presidential Jet NAF 001, which conveyed the President, touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, at 03.55pm.

The President was received at the airport by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu; his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, the Secretary to the Lagos State Governor, Mrs Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin; the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr Bode Agoro; and the state Chief of Staff, Mr Tayo Ayinde, amid a cheering crowd of supporters.

Tinubu was accompanied by his Principal Private Secretary, Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola, among other close aides.

The President was also received by the Lagos State Cultural Troupe, who treated him to the traditional music and cultural dance of Lagos.

He moved around the airport and waved at the crowd who came out to welcome him to Lagos for the Christmas celebrations.
