A survivor of the recent Ibadan explosion in Oyo state, Nigeria, expressed gratitude to God while sharing his before and after photos.
The massive explosion, which occurred on Tuesday night, resulted in the collapse of numerous buildings in the area, causing casualties and injuries.
The survivor, identified as Ade and using the handle @Shurley_banks on his X page, posted a two-slide transformation on social media. The before picture showed him sitting in his car, wearing a sunshade, as he appeared good-looking.
The after photo, circulating widely since the incident, depicted Ade in a state of fear and anxiety, his face covered in dust after he escaped from one of the collapsed buildings.
Ade shared his gratitude to God, stating:
“I Escaped!!! I still don’t even know what’s happening here in Ibadan, but we are safe 🙏 All we heard was a massive blast.”
In a subsequent post, Ade continued to share his experience, reflecting on the unfortunate occurrence. The images and his narration provided a poignant insight into the harrowing experience of those affected by the explosion.
He wrote:
