Popular Awka comedian, Aiza Nwosu, three others involved in accident

Popular Awka comic character and public information announcer Aiza Nwosu was on Friday morning involved in an accident.

  • The accident was said to have also involved three bystanders waiting to board buses at the popular Aroma junction.
  • An eyewitness said the crash was due to brake failure, adding the persons he knocked down, including a tricycle rider, had been rushed to a hospital.

Well-known Awka comedian, Aiza Nwosu, found himself at the center of a tragic accident.

The mishap occurred at the Aroma junction in Awka, the capital of Anambra State.

According to reports, the accident not only affected Nwosu but also involved three bystanders who were waiting to board buses at the same junction.

Eyewitnesses recounted the events, attributing the crash to brake failure on Nwosu’s part.

Nwosu, recognized for his popularity in Awka, often cruises around the city in his vans equipped with multiple loudspeakers, blaring music. His penchant for parking by the roadside and dancing to the tunes has made him a familiar sight.

Following the accident, Onlookers have declined to share their accounts with journalists. However, an ACTDA official offered a succinct response, stating that he could not explain the precise circumstances leading to the accident.

“We just got here. We were in the office when we were called to move fast about this emergency. I cannot explain how it happened.

“We know that Aiza is alive and has been moved to hospital for treatment,” he said.

In another story, a Young man had died in auto accident shortly after announcing his admission to UNIPORT.

The incident occurred on Friday, October 27, 2023, in Rivers State, leaving friends and family devastated by the untimely loss.

Abacha Wezume, a native of Aluu in the Ikwerre Local Government area of Rivers State, had announced his admission to UNIPORT via a heartfelt post on Facebook on Monday.

This announcement was met with an outpouring of support and congratulations from his online friends and acquaintances.

Wezume’s pursuit of higher education had been a longstanding dream, and his admission was seen as a significant achievement after years of effort.

Tragically, just hours before his life was cut short, he posted a poignant message on his Facebook status.

“I’m untouchable. I will live to glorify His holy name.”

Little did he know that fate had other plans.

The fatal accident, which took place on October 27, marked a devastating end to his dreams and aspirations.
