The Police have reportedly arrested Anyim Vera, a member of Dunamis International Gospel Center (DIGC), whose testimony went viral amid accusations of falsehood.
According to Daily Post, Vera was apprehended by the Nigeria Police Force on Tuesday, 7th May for purportedly breaching etiquette.
Vera who is a policewoman, came into the limelight after Senior Pastor Dr Paul Enenche interrupted her testimony at the Church Headquarters, questioning her command of English despite being a law graduate.
Vera claimed to have obtained a BSc in law from the National Open University of Nigeria.
Enenche’s scepticism led him to send Vera back to her seat, tagging her testimony as lies. However, he later expressed regret and apologized publicly for embarrassing the woman.
At the heat of Vera’s saga, Nigerian hotelier, Azubuike Ihemeje also offered her an all-expense paid vacation to his luxury hotel, Portland Resorts in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Azubuike chose to put smiles on the lady’s face with an all-expense paid weekend vacation.
Taking to Facebook, he wrote:
“We’re offering that madam Anyim Vera of NOUN an all-expense-paid vacation at Portland Resorts in Portharcourt this weekend of our 1yr anniversary. She truly deserves some healing ❤️🩹.”
Reacting to the gesture, One Ebenezer Okoronkwo wrote: “Sincerely she needs it. She must be going through depression since that embarrassment. More blessings Azubuike Ihemeje, more blessings Portland Resorts Hotel.”
Mandela TV wrote: “I knew it would be like this and even more incoming blessings for her. Pastor can’t shame who God no shame.”
