I’m alive – Man reveals himself as Shina Rambo, the deadly Crime Lord, spills his dark past in new interview

In a stunning claim that reverberates through the corridors of fear and doubt, a man has surfaced, professing to be Shina Rambo—the notorious figure whose very name once sent chills down spines. Whether truth or illusion, his declaration of survival and transformation from a feared criminal to a devout Christian leaves us faced with the profound question of whether this is a genuine tale of redemption or a haunting echo of a past that refuses to fade, or is this revelation merely another layer of a myth shrouded in mystery?

A Nigerian man has emerged from the shadows, declaring himself to be none other than Shina Rambo—the dreaded and notorious armed robber whose reign of terror in the 1990s made him a household name throughout Southwest Nigeria.

Rambo, whose true identity is Adekunle Lawal, was infamous for his audacious and ruthless crimes, including high-profile bank heists and kidnappings that struck fear into the heart of the nation.

This brazen criminal mastermind and his gang were notorious for their elaborate and terrifying operations, armed with cutting-edge weaponry and a network of spies that allowed them to strike with precision. They targeted everything from bustling banks and industrial facilities to the affluent elite, leaving a trail of fear and chaos in their wake.

Despite his arrest in 1995 following an intense manhunt and a lengthy imprisonment, the legend of Rambo seemed to end when reports surfaced in 2011 claiming he died in Lagos’ notorious Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison—his death attributed to natural causes under murky circumstances.

However, in a jaw-dropping twist that has defied all expectations, Rambo has seemingly made a sensational comeback.

During an electrifying interview on Fresh FM in Abeokuta, Ogun State, he shattered the myth of his demise by boldly proclaiming that he is very much alive and well, defying the world’s assumptions about his fate.

Asked how he managed to escape with so much publicity in the media regarding his capture, Rambo said in his native language, Yoruba

With all the declaration and announcement that they have captured Shina Rambo, he has been incacerated, what i want to tell the people of Abeokuta and the world at large is that people should pray that their lives are not used to pay the debt of another person’s life. A lot of lives have been sacrificed as replacement for my life.”

He continued;

“If anyone did break and entry and he was captured, they will say Shina Rambo has been killed. If anyone does burglary and stealing and also caught, they will say Shina Rambo has been caught. If anyone did a morning show and was caught, they would say it was Shina Rambo and a lot like that.

“But because of the grace I have in the party I left then…. there are 901 political parties in the country, and I belong to all except half. I have the grace to transform into any tribe I want. I can transform into Albino and a tribal mark bearing person. This is because I embarked on a powerful fortification journey”.

Speaking further about himself, he said, “I am from Abeokuta but I wasn’t based here because my mother is not Yoruba. She’s from Benin. I lived in Benin for years before i crossed to Cotonou, I’ve not been in Nigeria.

Rambo, invoking a Biblical passage about old things passing away, declared that he has left his life of crime behind. He now embraces Christianity with fervor and has dedicated himself to winning many souls for his faith.

“All those spiritual powers are now in the past because all powers belong to Jesus. There was a programme I attended where more than 720 hoodlums and area boys gave their life to Jesus. They were like if i could submit my life to Jesus, they would too.”
