- Former Senator Shehu Sani responded to Hadiza El-Rufai’s critique of his tweet about President Tinubu’s travels affecting taxes and prices
- Sani humorously addressed El-Rufai’s grammatical correction, asking her to leave him alone after their social media unfollowing
Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has responded to Hadiza El-Rufai, the former First Lady of Kaduna State, after she critiqued his recent social media post.
Sani’s initial comment on X (formerly Twitter) addressed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s frequent travels abroad, suggesting that they influence the rise in taxes and prices. “New law of economics; When the President travels out, taxes and prices go up,” Sani tweeted.
Mrs. El-Rufai, known for pointing out grammatical errors online, corrected his post. She stated that Sani should have used “go up” instead of “goes up.”
In his lighthearted response, Sani referred to her as “mummy,” asking her to let him be. “I unfollowed you, and you unfollowed me. And you’re still hanging around me. Mummy, leave me alone, abeg,” Sani wrote.
The exchange sparked reactions online, with users engaging in the playful back-and-forth between the two public figures.
