I was bundled to Police station, held for 2 hours – Bolt driver assaulted by Abia Rep member speaks (VIDEO)

Each word painted a picture of a man trapped in a nightmare, threatened and demeaned for simply trying to do his job. The encounter has sparked a wave of outrage, with VDM and other Nigerians rallying around Abuwatseya’s plight, demanding an end to the unchecked power wielded by some public figures

  • When the Bolt driver courageously stepped forward, presenting video evidence of the harsh assault inflicted upon him by an Abia Rep member, he ignited a storm that swept through Nigeria’s social media.
  • The footage struck a nerve, sparking outrage among freedom advocates and justice seekers who rallied fiercely against such abuse of power.
  • In the thick of this uproar, Verydarkman emerged as a vocal ally, standing shoulder to shoulder with the wronged driver. He took it further, sitting with him to hear the raw, unfiltered story of his ordeal.

Stephen Abuwatseya, a Bolt driver, has revealed shocking details of his harrowing encounter with Abia House of Representatives member Alex Ikwechegh, who he claims not only assaulted him at his home but dragged him to the police station in a brazen display of power.

In a viral video sparking outrage across social media, Ikwechegh was seen and heard threatening to make the driver “disappear” and even warned of locking him up in his generator house—a chilling message underscoring the depths of intimidation he was willing to unleash.

Speaking with VeryDarkMan, who linked up with him on Monday, Abuwatseya recounted the ordeal, revealed how Ikwechegh called on police officers to forcefully bundle him to their station, adding insult to injury by using authority to reinforce his threats.

His words;

“After the video he called some Police officers, I don’t know the division they are assigned to, they bundled me to the station.

“They didn’t allow me to take my calls

“I was taken to the IPO’s office, who spoke to him outside the office. After the call the IPO said he was going to do investigation at the honourable’s (Rep member) house in Maitama.

“They kept me behind the counter for over two hours. After the IPO returned from his house, he asked me why I recorded the Reps member.

“The honourable came to the station and started calling me names. I left the station at 3:00 am and my car is still at the station.”
