Man battling stroke claims to be Asake’s father, laments being abandoned by singer; stirs reactions (VIDEO)

Fatai’s plea is now public, and the internet debates what only two hearts truly understand. Beyond the noise of opinions and the weight of assumptions lies a history shaped by moments unseen, wounds unspoken, and choices only they can justify.

.A man who introduced himself as Fatai Odunsi Ahmed, claiming to be the father of Afrobeats sensation Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has sent shockwaves across social media with a heart-wrenching video detailing his struggle with illness and alleged abandonment.

In the viral footage, which has gripped the internet and ignited intense speculation, Fatai appeared alongside a family friend, Mustapha Abiodun, who took it upon himself to expose the grim reality of the ailing man’s condition.

Seated, frail, and burdened by the weight of his ordeal, Fatai revealed that his life took a tragic turn in March 2022 when he suffered a stroke, the same period he claimed to have last seen Asake.

With pain etched into his voice, he alleged that as his son’s fame skyrocketed, he was cast into the shadows, left to battle his affliction in silence. He recounted his desperate attempts to reach the former YBNL signee, how his calls went unanswered.

Now, in the grip of illness, he pleaded with Nigerians to come to his aid, to help fund his treatment as he fights to reclaim his health.
