“I no believe say na me go do am” — Bricklayer responsible for casting Mohbad’s grave celebrates (VIDEO)

A bricklayer found himself in the extraordinary position of cementing the final resting place of a singer whom he deeply admired and held in high regard. The passing of the renowned Nigerian singer Mohbad appears to have evoked a sense of satisfaction in the bricklayer tasked with sealing up his grave.

Mohbad, who tragically passed away on September 12, was promptly laid to rest in Ikorodu, and the bricklayer responsible for cementing the grave has unabashedly marked this task as an “achievement” worth celebrating.

In a widely circulated video, the youthful artisan can be heard expressing disbelief, admitting that he never imagined he would be the one entrusted with cementing the grave of the late singer.

His words

“If dem say na me go do Mohbad burial ground, I go ‘foh’ o, I no believe o.” 

The bricklayer openly acknowledged that he had no personal connection with the late Mohbad; however, he confessed to being an ardent admirer of the singer’s musical works.

Live videos from Mohbad’s burial in the Ikorodu area of Lagos emerged online on September 13, as young people in the neighbourhood gathered to pay tributes to the singer.

The 27-year-old singer died on Tuesday, September 12 with controversies rife about the cause of his death.

Some reports claimed that he had sought medical treatment for an ear infection but, after receiving an injection, he lost consciousnesses and failed to wake up.

While some others claimed that he died as a result of heart complication as a result of drugs.

Amid conflicting reports surrounding his death, the singer is reported to have been buried today, September 13, less than 24 hours after his tragic passing.

Several clips on social media showed the burial procession as many wailed when his coffin was lowered to the ground.
