Victims cry out as EFCC releases fresh list of 58 illegal ponzi scheme operators defrauding Nigerians

  • Shattered by regret, many now relive the bitter sting of trusting financial firms unmasked as scams by the EFCC.
  • The financial crime body warns that these companies were never legitimate, lack the proper registration to operate as real investment firms.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has raised the alarm over 58 companies allegedly running illegal Ponzi schemes across Nigeria, preying on the hopes and hard-earned money of unsuspecting citizens.

In a statement shared by blog Goldsmyne via its verified Instagram account, the anti-graft agency exposed these firms as wolves in sheep’s clothing, posing as investment platforms while siphoning funds from trusting Nigerians.

The EFCC revealed that these companies lack the required registration with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), with both regulatory bodies confirming in separate correspondences that the firms were never licensed to operate as legitimate investment entities.

In other news, Gistlover has waded into the explosive clash between Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and Senate President Godswill Akpabio, added fuel to the fire of her suspension saga.

In a bold Instagram exposé, the blog claims to have uncovered buried secrets about Akpabio and his wife, Ekaette Unoma. The blog paints Ekaette as the true enforcer in their household—m, a woman of steely resolve, unafraid to go to unsettling extremes to protect her marriage and influence.

Akpabio, on the other hand, is thrust into a whirlwind of allegations, with Gistlover accusing him of leveraging power for pleasure, allegedly awarding contracts in exchange for intimate favors from officials’ spouses during his time in office.
