30-day rant: My dad is the best president in history- Seyi Tinubu declares at recent event, triggers outrage

  • After NYSC member Ushie Uguamaye went viral, decrying the harsh realities of life under Tinubu’s administration, a relentless 30-day rant followed, amplifying the frustration.
  • The uproar apparently caught the attention of Seyi Tinubu, who, at a recent event, passionately defended his father as Nigeria’s best President.
  • His remarks, however, ignited a firestorm online, fueling intense backlash.

Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, has ignited controversy with a bold claim that his father is the greatest president in Nigeria’s history.

Speaking at an event, Seyi praised his father’s leadership, insisted that Tinubu has created opportunities for young people and built an economy that, in his words, benefits all Nigerians.

His words;

“It was never politics, but they keep coming for me, they keep coming for my family, they keep coming for your father, they keep coming for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the greatest president in the history of Nigeria

“He is the only president that has kept your people at home, the only president that considers youths, the only president that created a platform for young people to fly. The only president that created an economy that has benefitted everybody, the only president that is not trying to enrich his own pocket.”

His remarks, however, landed like a spark in dry grass. Outraged youths flooded social media, dismissed his claims as disconnected from reality.

Many pointed to the surging cost of living, widespread unemployment, and the struggling economy as proof that Tinubu’s administration has been anything but great.

His statement comes amid mounting frustrations among young Nigerians, many of whom are participating in the ongoing 30-day rant challenge, a social media-driven protest against the country’s worsening economic conditions.

The 30-day rant challenge gained traction after a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Ushie Uguamaye, went viral for her emotional outburst over the country’s dire situation.

In her widely shared video, she lamented the skyrocketing prices of food, transportation, electricity, and basic necessities. She did not hold back, called Tinubu’s government “terrible” for failing to tackle these issues,added that her NYSC allowance could no longer sustain her.

What followed was even more unsettling, Uguamaye later claimed she received threats, allegedly from NYSC officials, for speaking out.

This only fueled the movement further, as more Nigerians joined the 30-day rant challenge, voice their daily grievances over governance, hardship, and economic uncertainty.
