President Muhammadu Buhari is in a closed-door meeting with the new Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa.
The Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, joined in the meeting minutes after it commenced.
Though the agenda of the meeting is yet to be confirmed as at the time of filing this report, it was gathered that it will be all about issuing mandates to the new EFCC boss, as well as familiarisation.
Bawa was confirmed as Chairman of EFCC by the National Assembly on Wednesday.
He holds a B.Sc degree in economics, and masters degree in international affairs and diplomacy.
Bawa takes over from Ibrahim Magu following his removal from office in July 2020 on allegations of corruption.
Malami had accused Magu of mismanaging recovered loot while he was EFCC Chairman.
