The Osun Government on Tuesday night received doses of COVID-19 vaccines.
This was disclosed in a statement by press officer, the office of the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Jelili Tiamiyu.
The government said the vaccines meant for Osun, Ondo and Ekiti States arrived at Akure Airport at 7:11pm.
He noted that the Commissioner for Health, Dr Rafiu Isamotu, Special Adviser to Osun State Governor on Public Health, Dr Siji Olamijulo and chairman, Osun Primary Health Care Development Board, Hon Leke Ogunsola received the vaccines on behalf of Osun State Government at the airport.
He added state government made provision for solar-powered refrigerators at local government areas for storage of the vaccines and also made available central cooling store.
WITHIN NIGERIA had also reported that Ogun and Lagos States have taken delivery of the COVID-19 vaccine.
