There are now 160,537 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the country and 2,013 deaths have been recorded. 144,714 patients who recovered from the disease have also been discharged.

In other news, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the World Health Organization said countries should continue using the AstraZeneca vaccine Covid-19 jab, stating that any concerns over safety will be investigated.

This assurance is coming after several countries suspended rollout over blood clot fears, while the hard-hit United States exceeded 100 million doses of vaccine administered to its people.

According to WHO, its vaccines advisory committee is examining the safety data coming in, stressing that no causal link has been established between the AstraZeneca vaccine and clotting.
