A vigilante group, Rumuagholu Security Planning and Advisory Committee said it has arrested a 19-year-old man for allegedly raping his 13-year-old cousin in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The RUSPAC Commander, Henry Amadi, who disclosed this to journalists in Port Harcourt, said the teenager would be handed over to the police for further action.
According to the RUSPAC Commander, who doubles as the community development committee chairman, members of his vigilante group also arrested two suspected drug peddlers and recovered some illicit drugs from them.
Amadi said the suspects were arrested based on credible information, adding that drug peddlers concealed the substances in a bag.
“I have four suspects here. One is a rape case which will be transferred to the police for an appropriate action. Then, two were involved in illicit drug peddling and intake. Those ones will be transferred to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency,” he said.
Responding to the the allegation, the 19-year-old said, “I did not rape her. She used to come to my house, but I did not rape her. I can never lie to you. We used to play like dogs.”
