Ortom stated that his life is in the hands of God and that no man can kill him.
He called on Nigerians with good conscience to save the country from drifting into anarchy and lawlessness.
The Governor said he doesn’t understand why a certain ethnic group in the country would be shielded and allowed to use its militia arm to wreak havoc on perceived enemies.
WITHIN NIGERIA recall that armed men suspected to be herdsmen attacked Governor Ortom’s convoy on Saturday at Tyo Mu along Makurdi-Gboko road while on a visit to a farm.
According to Ortom, the gunmen are “herders” numbering about 15, trailed his convoy to the river bank where he was on foot with his security details to inspect a farm and opened fire on them.
