A resident of Ondo State simply identified as Gbenro has allegedly strangled his wife, Wayesola to death in her sleep.
The tragic incident was narrated by their daughter who witnessed how her father killed her mother.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the incident occurred in the early hours of the morning at Salvation Army Street, Odojmu, Ondo, Akure.
Fayoke said she saw her father strangling her mother when she got up to ease herself but couldn’t do anything because her father threatened to kill her.
According to TheNation report, Fayoke’s cry of horror attracted neighbours and they found Wayesola dead when they got there.
Neighbours immediately locked the man indoors to stop him from escaping, then they called the deceased’s brother.
Speaking on the sad development, the police public relations officer in the state identified as ASP Tee- Leo Ikoro said the matter has been transferred to the state CID for further investigation.
