Over the years, the Premier League has established itself as one of the world’s best leagues. It has a huge following from all over the globe. Some of the best players ply their trade in this amazing League. What makes it one of the best is that every team can compete for the title, making it exciting.

The premier league, 2020/2021 season, is quickly coming to an end since most teams have only nine fixtures remaining. The battle for the top four is quickly heating up. Manchester City seems to have cemented their number one position for the lead with 71 points. More than seven teams are fighting for the remaining three Champions League qualification places.

Just a mere six points separate the fourth-placed team from the eighth, with only nine games remaining for most premier league teams. It is safe to say that the top-four race is reaching its climax. Manchester City seems to have the Premier League title in their trophy cabinet already. That means there are three Champions League positions up for grabs for the next season. Here are the top five EPL teams that Betway punters can expect to put up a strong fight for the remaining Champions League spots, considering the current EPL table.

3. Leicester City- 56

4. Chelsea- 51

5. Westham- 49

6. Liverpool-46

When enjoying sports betting online on the Betway platform, you can wager on Manchester United and Leicester to secure at least one spot. The two teams sit comfortably in the second and third positions among the teams competing for the top-four, unlike Chelsea and Liverpool, which are packed together tightly.

Here are some key fixtures that are going to play a key role in determining which team goes through:

Key Matches For the Champions League Spots

Among the other teams competing for the three remaining Champions League spots, Leicester City has the toughest run-in with five top-four fixtures from their remaining nine matches. As for Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp’s side has the chance to turn their season around, for they only have one rival fixture.

Man Utd fixtures

The team will be confident of clinching the top four spot, for they sit at position two at the moment. Among the nine fixtures remaining, the most brutal matches ahead of them are;

April 11: Tottenham [A]

May 1: Liverpool [H]

May 11: Leicester City [H]

Leicester City fixtures

They may have narrowly missed out to Chelsea for the top four spots last season, but 2021 is the time for Brendan Rodgers men to redeem themselves. Among the top four contenders they will be facing in the last nine fixtures include;

April 3: Man City [H]

May 11: Man Utd [A]

May 15: Chelsea [A]

Chelsea fixtures

Chelsea is on a nice run of form ever since their new coach, Thomas Tuchel, took over. They face;

May 8: Man city [A]

May 15: Leicester City [H]

Liverpool Fixtures

Despite their dip in form in the Premier League, their form in Europe has been magnificent after qualifying for the Champions League Quarter-finals alongside Man City and Chelsea. Their main competitor for the top four spots will be Man Utd on May 1 [A] in the remaining nine fixtures.

Fans should expect to witness one of the toughest races for the top-four spot. In the end, there has to be a winner and a loser, and that’s what makes football exciting.
