Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dimeji Bankole, on Thursday, met with Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State behind closed doors.
Bankole had earlier in the day paid a visit to the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governor of the state, Chief Olusegun Osoba, at his Ataba Close residence, in Abeokuta.
It will be recalled that the two-term member of the House of Representatives alongside Ogun State former governor, Gbenga Daniel recently joined the APC and had met with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.
The former speaker arrived at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, at about 4.12 pm. The meeting lasted for two hours.
The meeting had in attendance the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Tunji Egbetokun.
Details of the meeting were not made known to reporters who accosted him.
