The Nigerian Correctional Service has released photos and names of some of the inmates who escaped during the jailbreak in Imo state on Monday, April 5.
WITHIN NIGERIA recall that unidentified hoodlums had on Monday attacked set the Imo State correctional centre on fire, freeing 1,844 inmates.
It was gathered that there was sporadic shooting on Monday morning which lasted for three hours before the centre was bombed.
A source at the Nigerian Correctional Service told The Nation that over 80 inmates who escaped from the Owerri Custodial Centre have voluntarily returned on Wednesday.
