There was palpable confusion and fear in Dunukofia local government area of Anambra State, as some unknown gunmen stormed the community, attacking the Monarch’s palace destroying properties worth millions of naira.
According to reports, gunmen stormed the palace of Igwe Ifitedunu in Dunukofia in the early hours of Monday (today), April 26, setting it ablaze.
This attack comes barely 48 hours after gunmen also attacked the country home of the Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma, razed vehicles, and killed two of his security personnel.

In other report, gunmen have reportedly killed an unspecified number of policemen and Customs Officers at various checkpoints in Rivers State.
The incident is said to have happened on Saturday night between Omagwa -Isiokpo – Elele communities in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers state, along the Port Harcourt – Owerri road.
