Leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has told the Nigerian Army to stop the unwarranted siege of the South-East region or they will be forced to stop it.
Kanu stated this on Sunday via his Twitter handle @MaziNnamdiKanu, adding that the siege by the military will not make IPOB back down from agitating for the creation of Biafra.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that the Nigerian Army and other security agencies have several times clashed with the IPOB members in South-East leading to death of many.
Among those killed was one suspected Commander Ikonso, identified as the Vice President-designate of IPOB.
His tweet reads: “Let this be clear: This unwarranted siege of Biafraland must stop. Or we stop it. The siege won’t take us back down from restoring #Biafra.
“It will rather strengthen our resolve & recruit more faithful to the cause. The more you siege, the closer Biafra beckons”.
