Constitution Review: Governor Akeredolu calls for scrapping of senate

The Executive Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu has called for the scrapping of the Senate in order to reduce cost of governance in the country.

This call was made by the Ondo state governor, Akeredolu while declaring open the House of Representatives Ad-hoc committee on Constitution Review, South West Zonal Public Hearing, Akure Center for Ondo, Ekiti and Osun States.

Governor Akeredolu represented by his Deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa pointed out that the scaling of the members of the National Assembly and the ministries would provide more funds for developmental projects in the country.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, said the killing of former presidential aide, Ahmed Gulak on Sunday in Owerri is a calculated attempt to instigate Northerners against Igbo people living outside the South-East.

Akeredolu made this known in a statement titled, ‘Ahmed Gulak: A Killing Too Senseless And Wicked’.
