Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu said members of the Eastern Security Network and IPOB are not the unknown gunmen responsible for the killings and destruction rocking the South-East.
Kanu was reacting to the constant accusation that IPOB and ESN are the unknown gunmen killing innocent lives in the region.
The activities of the unknown gunmen in recent months have increased causing loss of lives of security operatives while government facilities including police stations and Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC offices in the South-East and some parts of South-South have been destroyed.
The IPOB leader has repeatedly claimed his loyalists are not responsible for the attacks.
The tweet reads, “It’s pathetic that the Nigerian government & its security forces are now spreading the LIE that “IPOB Killed 128 Military, Police Personnel”.
“This lie is aimed at justifying the GENOCIDE that is currently underway in #SoutheastNigeria. Again, IPOB & ESN are not unknown gunmen”.
