Stanley Eguma, Rivers United Head coach who was abducted by unknown gunmen in Enugu has regained freedom.
WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that Eguma was kidnapped along the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway on Tuesday while returning from Gombe to Port Harcourt, after a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game.
NAN reports that Chief Okey Kpalukwu, General Manager of Rivers United Football Club, Port Harcourt, on Friday told newsmen that Mr Eguma, has been released by his abductors.
Kpalukwu, however, failed to give details of Eguma’s release but said they are grateful to God for his mercy.
“We are grateful to God for His mercy. Our Technical Manager, Stanley Eguma, has been released by his abductors.
“We are happy for his successful release. Our God is gracious,” he said.
