The Yaba Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, has adjourned until July 27 to rule on the bail application by Yoruba Nation agitators.
Recall that the Lagos State Police Command had arrested the agitators at Ojota, Lagos on July 3rd while protesting in support of the actualization of the Yoruba Nation.
Following the development, a motion for their bail application was filed by human right lawyers led by Olasupo Ojo, Esq, and Oladapo Kayode, Esq.
The Police also paraded the 49 suspects arrested on Sunday.
However, the court in a ruling on Monday failed to grant bail to the 49 Yoruba Nation agitators arrested and detained by the Lagos State Police Command.
It also granted the application for an ex parte order brought before it by the command to detain the agitators for 21 days.
