Convener of Concerned Nigerian, Deji Adeyanju, has lambasted South-East leaders for their inability to collectively defend their own after the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enita Ogunwusi, constituted a 28-man committee to brainstorm on the issues surrounding the arrest of Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly called Sunday Igboho.
WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that the Ooni of Ife, who is one of the first-class monarchs in the South-West Nigeria has set up a committee of prominent Yoruba leaders to look into the matter of Igboho’s arrest in Benin Republic.
The Abuja based activist commended the Ooni of Ife for the step taken while he accused the Southeast leaders of being afraid and should be ashamed of themselves.
In a tweet, the activist maintained that self determination was not a crime.
Adeyanju wrote: “BREAKING: Ooni sets up committee on Igboho, rallies south-west leaders.
“All hail the Oni, Igbakeji Orisa. Shame on SE leaders. Fear, fear people. Northern leaders are still defending killer herdsmen after they killed over 20,000 Nigerians. Self determination is not a crime.”
