Ropo, wife of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo popularly called Sunday Igboho, has arrived the Cour De’appal De Cotonou, Benin Republic for the trial of her activist husband.
It was gathered that Yoruba monarchs based in Benin Republic as well as other Yoruba Nation supporters have also arrived the court premises in solidarity with the activist.
The traditional rulers had earlier met on Sunday and resolved to intervene in the matter.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that Igboho and his wife, Ropo, were arrested at the Cardinal Bernardin International Airport, Cotonou on Monday night while trying to catch a flight to Germany.
Ropo was released after the court found out that she had not committed any offence.
The court, however, returned Igboho to the custody of Brigade Criminelle in Cotonou, Benin Republic after adjourning the case involving the Yoruba rights activist.
Igboho is being investigated following his arrest and allegations brought against him by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The allegation levelled against the activist is that he’s a gun runner, causing disturbances in Nigeria and trying to divide Nigeria into two or three.
The court is also expected to rule on the extradition of Igboho to Nigeria or otherwise.
