Chaos In Imo As Gunmen Kill 2, Parade Bodies In Market Square

The man identified as Felix Okechukwu was a retired mechanic who was about 70-year-old before he was killed by unknown gunmen in Orlu, Imo State. Felix Okechukwu was popularly called Akaonyewetere in Okporo community, Orlu.

Furthermore, the death of the 70-year-old man has stirred a lot of tension in Orlu because he was killed alongside a palm wine tapper whose name is Berechukwu Udemba.

According to PUNCH, a village source in a statement that was released to newsmen on Thursday, the yet-to-be identified gunmen killed the Felix Okechukwu and Berechukwu Udemba in their various houses and then paraded their lifeless body at the community market at Orie Okporo.

Additionally, in a video that has been circulating on social media, the body of the two deceased were seen on the table at the market square.

However, the villager revealed in his words that, “Unknown gunmen killed Felix Okechukwu and Berechukwu Udemba in their various houses, brought their lifeless body to Orie Okporo community and displayed them on a table. The families retrieved the severed heads from the market this morning.”

Nevertheless, a spokesperson for the police in the state, Micheal Abattam, disclosed to newsmen today that further investigations were been made to apprehend the suspects.

He further promised to bring the suspects to book and also promised them that they would not go unpunished for killing those innocent men.
