Former Aviation Minister and PDP chieftain, Fani-Kayode recently received a new chieftaincy title. The outspoken minister shared the news on his social media page.
He disclosed that he was delighted and humbled to have been conferred with the title of Atobashe of Otun-Ekiti, Mobaland by HRM Oba Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo, the Oore of Otun Ekiti.
He appreciated the King and the Traditional Council of Mobaland for the great honor.
Fani-Kayode was born in Lagos, on 16 October 1960 to Chief Victor Babaremilekun Adetokunboh Fani-Kayode and to Chief (Mrs) Adia Adunni Fani-Kayode. He is an Ile-Ife chieftain of Yoruba descent.
Fani-Kayode was the Special Assistant to President Olusegun Obasanjo from July 2003 to June 2006. He was also appointed as the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 22 June to 7 November 2006.
