No fewer than 21 military recruits have been killed in an accident in Jigawa State.
WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that the fatal incident happened after their vehicle submerged in water along the Gwaram/basirka road in Jigawa State.
ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the state Police spokesman, confirmed the incident to newsmen.
ASP Adam said the military recruits were en route to Gombe State before the fatal accident which took 21 lives.
In other news, unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits have attacked some villages, killed nine people and abducted six others in Goronyo LGA of Sokoto state.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the affected villages are Bejingo, Dantudu, and Tulutu all in Birjin ward.
