A high court sitting in the federal capital territory (FCT) has directed the Nigerian Police Force to charge suspected IPOB informant, Gloria Okolie to court by August 31 or release her.
Recall that the 22-year-old lady was arrested in Imo state by operatives of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) on June 17 for being friends with a suspected member of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
She was transferred to Abuja, despite efforts by her parents to secure her release.
WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that a 21-years-old student, Gloria Okolie who was illegally detained for months by police officers has taken the Inspector General of Police, Baba Usman Alkali to court.
Okolie accused the Police of violating her fundamental human rights. She is seeking N100 billion compensation.
