Governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Tambuwal has stated that developmental projects in the country have taken place only in states governed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This was stated on Saturday by Tambuwal at the national executive committee (NEC) meeting of the PDP in Abuja.
According to chairman of the PDP governors’ forum, his colleagues will continue to deliver dividends of democracy to residents in their respective states.
“Whenever you hear a major event, activity or commissioning of projects, it is happening only in PDP state,” he said.
“We shall continue to do our best and we assure you of our total loyalty to our party.”
Commenting on the crisis in the party, Tambuwal said the challenges will make the party better prepared for the 2023 general election.
“Challenges, disputation, disagreement are a part of life and indeed politics. But what is important is how they are resolved,” he said.
“We have activated all mechanisms that we have in PDP to resolve all of our issues, and as the chairman of the board of trustees (BoT) said, we are there by the grace of God.
“We shall continue to hold together, remain together, because we are the hope of the people of Nigeria and Nigerians are looking forward to PDP, and we cannot afford to fail them.
“The challenges are quite many and it is important for us to continue to work together as a family. We are going into a warfare. You must go into a warfare united; you cannot win divided.
“The road is bumpy, but by the grace of God, we are sailing to our destination. God willing, PDP will take over Nigeria. So let’s not lose hope. We must remain focused with our eyes on the ball and we shall, by the grace of God, score that goal.”
Tambuwal commended all members of the party for their various roles in resolving the crisis in the party.
