Manchester United fans could not hide their feeling as they continue to chant Cristiano Ronaldo’s name during and after the match at Old Trafford today.
The match which ended 4-1 in favour of the home team saw Cristiano Ronaldo netting a brace against Newcastle United to affirm his decision of coming back to his boyhood club.
During his post-match interview, the former Real Madrid and Juventus Forward said ” at first, I was nervous, though I didn’t show I was very nervous”.
In his words, he said;
“I never anticipated scoring two goals or a goal in the match and I am glad I did” he went further to say, “I was nervous at the start of the match as I continue to hear the fans chanting my name all through the match, though I never showed it, it was a wonderful feeling”.
The 2008 world best player showed his quality in the match as he made every move a movie for the fans to see.
In reaction to what he feels about his new team, the former Juventus forward said;
“They are a good set of players with consistency and quality, I am happy to be a part of them”.
