Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has appointed the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, as the chairman of Ondo State Council of Obas.
The appointment followed the expiration of a two-year single tenure of the former Chairman of the council, Oba Fredrick Eniolorunda Obateru Akinruntan, the Olugbo of Ugbo.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Akeredolu, Olatunde Richard, said the tenure of the new chairman began on September 14.
The statement said Governor Akeredolu hailed the former chairman for providing what he termed the support to ensure that the people of the state enjoyed good governance.
It said: “Governor Akeredolu urges the new chairman to improve on the record of his predecessor by working in harmony with his brother monarchs and the government in ensuring the development of the state.”
