Boko Haram steals five tractors, set two ablaze in Yobe state

Boko Haram members have reportedly stolen five tractors and set two others ablaze in Ngelbuwa, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.

It was gathered that the insurgents invaded the town and forcefully ordered a resident to show them the houses of the tractor drivers.

Chairman of North East Commodity Association (NECAS), Yobe State chapter, Nuhu Baba Hassan, who confirmed the attack said three tractors belonging to NECAS Borno and Yobe state offices were affected in the attack.

Hassan said a tractor under his custody was snatched from its driver at gunpoint.

Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Buni Yadi, Bitrus Mamuda Saleh, who also confirmed the attack said Muhammad Mustapha, Chairman of Borno State chapter NECAS reported that suspected Boko Haram insurgents attacked their tractor drivers at Ngelbuwa village in Gujba, and took away four tractors belonging to Borno State government.

The insurgents also set ablaze two NECAS tractors.
