The Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, has urged Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma to take an oath over the deaths in the Southeast.
IPOB urged Uzodinma to take an oath swearing that he had no involvement in the killings in Imo State and the Southeast.
IPOB spokesman Emma Powerful said that Uzodinma and lawmakers formed a bogus Eastern Security Network, ESN, that is terrorizing the region.
Powerful claimed that the All Progressives Congress, APC, politicians in their desperate bid to control the Southeast are trying to set the region ablaze.
In a statement he signed, Powerful urged the people of the region to hold APC politicians responsible for the security situation in the Southeast.
According to Powerful: “The simple truth is that Hope Uzodinma and his fellow traitors in their quest for power have created fake ESN to cause fear in the South East, and ultimately demonise IPOB but we are smarter than them.
“We challenge Hope Uzodinma to swear an oath that he has no hands in the killings in Imo and Anambra States.
“We know that the gullible minds may still not believe us but the fact remains that APC in its desperation to take over South East has set the zone ablaze because of politics.
“South East should hold APC and desperate politicians responsible for the mayhem in the zone aimed at beating Ndigbo into submission.”
IPOB wondered why it would kill people of the Southeast after challenging armed Fulani herders in the region.
