Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has submitted the 2021 supplementary budget of 33,802,37I.99 to the state house of assembly.
Reading the letter on the floor of the house, the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari, said the supplementary budget of N33,802,371.99 is to be used to accelerate developmental projects.
According to the letter, personnel cost stood at N3,22,317,661.68 and overhead cost is tagged at N9,245,766,786.87 and N21,534,264,640.45 for recurrent expenditure.
The state House of Assembly approved N197,936,730,540 as 2021 budget and with the inclusion of the supplementary budget the total budget of the year 2021 becomes N231,739,101,639.
The letter noted that the supplementary budget would be funded from the amount generated from revenue collection and other relevant sources applied by the government to fund budgets.
Also yesterday, Ganduje approved the removal of Mu’azu Magaji Dansarauniya, an engineer, as the Executive Chairman, state NNPC/AKK Gas Pipeline Project and Gas Industrialisation Committee (KNSG-PDIC).
The governor, in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, and said Dansarauniya’s sack was with immediate effect.
His removal from office was informed by his inability to measure up to the challenging job and because of his poor performance and insubordination.
The governor directed the sacked chairman to hand over the affairs of the committee to the deputy executive chairman, Aminu Babba Dan’Agundi, Sarkin Dawaki Babba.
Ganduje thanked him for his service and wish him success in his future endeavours.
