After more than two hours of legal fireworks, the Supreme Court in Abuja on Thursday certified former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, as the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, governorship candidate on November 6, 2021, election in Anambra State.

The Supreme Court also reinstated Chief Victor Oye as the party’s National Chairman.

The appeal filed by one Jude Okeke was dismissed by a five-member panel of the court’s justices on the grounds of abuse of judicial procedure.

Jude Okeke was ordered to pay N1 million to APGA and Victor Oye by Justice Mary Peter Odili, who delivered the lead decision.
