At least seven people were killed and 15 wounded when an explosion hit a Shiite mosque in the Afghan city of Kandahar on Friday.
According to AFP, a medic in the southern city’s central hospital said; “So far seven dead and 13 wounded have been brought to our hospital.”
The blast in southern Kandahar comes exactly a week after a similar explosion at a mosque in the northern city of Kunduz.

The attack was said to be the bloodiest assault since United States forces left the country.
