Uche Secondus, the Peoples Democratic Party’s suspended National Chairman, lost his bid to stop the party’s planned national convention on Friday.
Secondus‘ interlocutory suit to halt the convention was rejected by the Appeal Court.
The PDP’s national convention is set to take place on Saturday (tomorrow).
However, the action was rejected by a three-man Appeal Court Panel sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Reading the judgment, Justice Gabriel Kolawole described the suit before it as an after-thought and abuse of the court process.
The court blamed him for not acting when his ward and local governments suspended him until now.
It urged the party to go on with the planned convention.
