A former operative of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, James Eno is said to be on the run after he allegedly shot his girlfriend, Emenaza Purity over her refusal to marry him in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.

It was gathered that the suspect allegedly shot the victim in her chest in their residence on October 28.

The victim is struggling to survive with two oxygens already fixed on her.

According to Daily Post, Purity is said to have discovered after five years in the relationship that the suspect is married with a child, unknown to her.

But the suspect who is fondly called “Bishop” approached the victim’s family to refund him all the monies spent on her in the past five years of the relationship.

Purity’s family reportedly pleaded for time till Tuesday next week to raise the money.

The suspect pegged the said sum at fifteen million naira and they agreed.

A human rights activist, Israel Joe, in a statement condemned the ugly act by the former SARS Operative.

He said, “My team and I have forwarded the entire medical report and present state of things to the Delta State Human Rights Committee for prompt arrest, actions and prosecution of James Eno.”

Joe said, “The era of rights abuses in the State is gradually coming to an end as no one is bigger than the law.”

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe is yet to confirm the report.
